The ice and freezing temperatures brought in by Storm Barra are set to be replaced with unseasonably warm weather next week.
Temperatures are expected to reach double figures in some areas of Greater Manchester over the next few days, even reaching 13C tomorrow.
But wet weather will remain, with rain predicted for most of the region over the coming days.

The temperatures forecast for Greater Manchester are several degrees higher than the average temperature for December, compared with previous years.
Tropical air arriving from Spain is thought to be behind the unexpectedly warm temperatures.
