June

Speaking about the weather in Manchester, The Met Office Meteorologist Alex Burkill said: "We've had a run-up of warm and sunny weather and that will continue to this weekend when it will be incredibly warm and sunny.

"Sometime in the middle of next week, at the moment it's looking like it could be Wednesday, it will be wet, blustery and cooler but that will be short-lived.

"As we go into the following week I expect the fine, settled and warmer than average weather to return, similar to what we have at the moment.

"The end of June and into July it is generally staying as it is now. Often settled, warmer than average. The further we look ahead a good deal of fine, settled weather to come."
