Casa De Moor - Stockport
Slightly pushing the boundaries of ‘pub’, Casa De Moor is popular as both a restaurant and cocktail bar. The food, mainly from a Mediterranean menu, does well among guests. It’s the best rated on TripAdvisor’s list, scoring a perfect five out of five.
Three Little Words - Manchester
Situated in the heart of Manchester city centre in a railway arch, Three Little Words excels in both food and drink. Diners love the dishes served, and drinkers love the variety. They do gin tasting, too.
Jane Eyre Neighbourhood Bar - Ancoats
Ancoats’ Jane Eyre is a hit with the young and hip, in Manchester’s trendiest neighbourhood. It’s easy to see why — great cocktails, divine small plates, and stunning views of Cutting Room Square.
Pen and Pencil - Northern Quarter
Another hit with the hip, the Pen and Pencil has a very good food menu, with generous portions, and attentive staff to keep your evening running smoothly. It’s also in the Northern Quarter, so it's really easy to access on public transport. What’s not to like?
Banyan Spinningfields - Manchester
Now we’re talking boujee. Banyan has a great food menu, with fantastic staff who always do their best to make sure everyone feels at home. If you feel like a fancy night out, get yourself down to Spinningfields.
Blacksticks - Eccles
A great place for families, Eccles’ Blacksticks does wonderful food — and is a hit with those celebrating birthdays, given its tapas menu is so good, you’ll want to share it with those nearest and dearest to you.
Bay Horse Tavern - Northern Quarter
A simple thing done well is how to describe the Bay Horse. Properly good pub food done to a high standard, excellent service, and some fantastic beer. Very highly recommended.
Molino Lounge - Oldham
Another place that does a simple thing very well. Molino Lounge is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, friendly menu to vegans and vegetarians, and a load of great drinks options. It’s also right in the heart of Oldham town centre, so one to make a night out of.
Brewski - Chorlton
Chorlton might be a hipster’s paradise, but Brewski appeals to all. Food and milkshakes are very good here, as are the staff, with a friendly atmosphere waiting for you.
