Great white shark's jaws come within inches of diver's face in terrifying video

A diver's face came just inches from the jaws of a great white shark after it missed its prey.

Brit Sarah Fretwell was locked in a cage and surrounded by apex predators under the waters in the Neptune Islands, off the coast of south Australia.

She filmed the moment a great white shark sped towards floating bait above her and missed by inches - before lunging toward her cage.

In the clip, the shark swims with its jaws open wide as it turns away before disappearing back into the shadows.

In another clip, two more sharks circle around the cage before taking another chance on the floating prey.
