The traffic lights at Great Western Road and Byres Road have been switched off causing major issues for drivers in the west end.
The site has developed a major underground cable fault and will remain off until contractors can perform repairs.
The signals at the busy junction with Byres Road and Queen Margaret Drive will remain off until further notice, according to the Traffcom bulletin from Glasgow City Council.
One driver contacted Glasgow Live and described the junction, which feeds three of the west end's biggest roads, as 'chaotic'.
