Great Western Road crash: teen left with serious injuries in 'violent' attack after car chase to Glasgow's west end

Police in Clydebank are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault on Great Western Road.

The incident took place around 6.45pm on Thursday, 12 November.

Officers were called following reports of a Black Volkswagen Golf and a Skoda being driven erratically from the Knightswood area, which resulted in a crash on Great Western Road. The male occupants of the Skoda then attacked the Golf and its occupants.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Golf was left with serious injuries as a result of the assault, while two other occupants were uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Peter Jarvis said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this violent attack or the erratic driving which preceded it to please come forward.

“We are also keen to receive any potential dashcam footage from motorists who were in the area around the time in question and may have witnessed the crash.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 2812 of 12 November. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.
