A female has been rushed to hospital after being knocked down on Great Western Road this evening.
The accident occurred around 7:45pm near to the junction with Garscadden Road.
An eyewitness informed Glasgow Live earlier of a large police presence at the scene, with three ambulances also reported to be in attendance.
The road remains closed as part of the police investigation and local diversions are in place.
There is no update regarding the female's age, or her injuries at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 7:45pm on Saturday 5 December 2020, the police and ambulance services attended a report of a female having been knocked down on Great Western Road in Glasgow near to the junction with Garscadden Road.
“The female was taken to hospital and there is no update regarding her injuries at the time.
"The road is currently closed as part of the police investigation. And local diversions are in place."
