'Great player' - Nottingham Forest fans react to Martin Olsson transfer link

The transfer window may only have been open for a couple of weeks, but Nottingham Forest have already been linked with their fair share of players.

The latest name reportedly a target for the Reds this summer is former Swansea City left-back Martin Olsson.

The 31-year-old was released by the Swans this summer, with his latest appearance coming in December after suffering a ruptured Achilles.

Scottish giants Rangers and Turkish side Fenerbahce have also been reported to have expressed an interest in the player.

Forest fans have been reacting to the prospect of their club signing Olsson this summer, here is a selection of what they’ve had to say.

Ricky Forlenza: “Great player, I would like to see him as a Red.”

Allan Rutherford: “Here we go I hate this time of year linked with everybody that's been released.”

Jamie Allan: “Good player but not if it takes Robinson out of the squad.”

Kevin Osborne: “Good player with pace.”

Scott Markham: “If we are building a 3-4-3 type of squad he’ll be a good fit.”

BurtonRed: “31 yrs old, and a ruptured Achilles hmmm! Dependant on rehabilitation, he would be good business on a 'Free', for LB cover. Bit of a gamble as a place in a starting eleven every week?.”

SOEred: “Would be decent. Left back desperately needed and on a free would be good business.”

Andrew NFFC Fryer: “Great player I think I would take him.”
