Great North Run pacers - which colour to follow to get your target time

So after finding out you got a place right back at the start of the year it's now very nearly moment of truth time for the many people taking part in this year's Great North Run.

The famous Newcastle to South Shields road race is back for another year on Sunday, September 8, with tens of thousands of road runners joining elite athletes at the start line ready to take on the 13.1 mile course.

This year's Great North Run will be a first for many people taking part, while others, including the likes of Mo Farah, have plenty of experience.

Many people lining up for the world famous half marathon will probably have a goal time in mind, whether they share it with others or not.

And with that in mind, GNR organisers, the Great Run company have shared details of this year's pacers - the people who can help your achieve your aim.

You needing to be looking out for a certain colour depending on what time you're hoping to do.

And those times and colours are:

Orange Wave

1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55

White Wave

1.55, 2 hours, 2:05, 2:10, 2:15

Green Wave

2:10, 2:15, 2:20, 2:25, 2:30, 2:35

Pink Wave

2:35, 2:40, 2:45
