As lockdown restrictions are lifted and life goes back to something approaching normal, it's wonderful to see business reopening across the capital. One of these is Newmarket's Teeling Whiskey Distillery and Visitor Centre, which will be back up and running 7 days a week from Monday, June 29th.
The award-winning distillery, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, is known for its unique tours that let you get right up close to the whiskey-making process. You can book tickets online and experience first-hand the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a fully operational distillery on one of their guided tours, followed by tastings from the extensive Teeling range.
To celebrate the reopening, the first 500 visitors who take a tour will receive a special thank you gift as a token of appreciation for their support.
The distillery will also be offering Private Family Group Bookings for family groups who want a private tour and tasting in the Finishing Room private venue space.
Teeling are also taking a number of precautions to ensure the health and safety of visitors and to guarantee that all guests can enjoy their experience safely, including:
- Designated Time Slots, every 30 minutes (Maximum 10 people per group)
- Family Group Bookings which will be private tours and tastings
- Regular cleaning and disinfecting throughout the distillery, visitor centre and café
- Sanitising stations on entry, exit, at the ticket desk and throughout the visitor centre
- Staff will be both practicing and encouraging social distancing measures at all times
- Cashless payments - all exchanges will be contactless and all staff will be behind protective windows
The Distillery Gift Shop and Phoenix Café are also open to the public. The gift shop is the perfect place to pick up some of their award-winning whiskeys, distillery exclusive whiskeys, take home cocktails, DOT Brew beers and Teeling merchandise.
