'Great idea!' - Leyton Orient fans love what the club has done amid Coronavirus postponement

All EFL fixtures may be suspended until April 3 due to the recent coronavirus outbreak but Leyton Orient aren't allowing that to stop them.

The O's were scheduled to face Bradford City in League Two this afternoon (March 14) but the game was postponed. Alongside their trip to Bradford, games against Plymouth Argyle, Carlisle, Morecambe and Forest Green Rovers will also be rescheduled.

To fight off the disappointment of having now real football to play, Leyton Orient have decided the fixture will go on, however.

Not in reality but in the virtual world instead. They will be taking on Bradford on Football Manager, but the quirks don't end there.

Coronavirus: WHO says Europe now 'the epicentre of the pandemic'

Rather than just playing through the game within in the club and sharing the result after full time, Orient are giving their fans the chance to get as involved as possible.

There will be a vote to decide the starting XI, how they the team will set up and the fans will be able to make live decisions as the match unfolds.

As it stands, the voted for the formation for the day has already been done but ended in a draw. 31% of voters wanted the side to lineup in a 4-4-2 and 31% wanted a 4-3-3. 4-4-1-1 (26.2%) and 3-5-2 (11.8%) were the other options.

Due to the first vote of the day ending in a draw, Leyton Orient were forced to seek further assistance.

The initiative shown by the club's media department has been praised widely by the fan base who will have something to look forward to this afternoon.

Football Manager themselves have also got involved.

After seeking assistance on which formation to use for the game, Orient landed on a traditional 4-4-2.

The voters will now be tasked with how to approach the meeting with Bradford. The options are very defensive, defensive, cautious, balanced, positive, attacking and very attacking.

How this unfolds will without a doubt be interesting to see and updates will come during the day.
