Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown splits from husband after less than two years

Bake Off winner Candice Brown has split from her husband after less than two years.

The TV star and Liam Macauley – who only renewed their wedding vows in 2019 – separated earlier this year.

He has moved out of the pub Candice owns in Eversholt, Bedfordshire, where the couple lived.

Candice, 35, tied the knot with the tree surgeon at a luxury French chateau in front of their family and friends in September 2018.

Then last year, they invited the cameras to capture them renewing their vows in Thailand.

During the accompanying  interview, Candice told how Liam “supports everything I do” in the wake of her Bake Off triumph in 2016, which was watched by 15million viewers.

Candice added that she savoured the quality time with the man she described as “my biggest cheerleader”.

She added: “I know I’m very lucky. I adore him, he adores me, we’re best friends and we always will be.”

Two days ago, she posted a picture of herself at a restaurant launch, where she didn’t appear to be wearing her wedding ring.

Candice’s agent last night said: “I can confirm that Candice and Liam separated earlier this year.

“As you’d imagine, it’s a very private matter.”
