Viewers of this year's Great British Bake Off have been left 'devastated' as fan favourite Freya was announced as the latest baker on the show to get the chop.
The vegan contestant was the latest baker to leave the tent in what has been described as a 'shock elimination' that also saw George narrowly survive another week.
Freya was this season's youngest baker and became a favourite among viewers for her Yorkshire accent and witty comments.
GBBO came under fire for making Freya use animal products during the technical challenges - despite the baker being strictly vegan and using plant-based recipes for her own bakes.
Fans were gutted to see the 19-year-old in tears after Matt Lucas announced she was the next baker to leave the tent last night.
Smartcookiesam wrote: "Sad to see Freya go. I would love to see her making a vegan baking book. #GBBO".
Brendan Laird said: "I tend not to like vocal fry but Freya's is charming. Raging she's out. #GBBO".
Max also said: "I seriously had tears in my eyes, we're so gonna miss Freya she's done so well to come this far #GBBO".
Freya's elimination comes as a shock after fellow baker George struggled with his bakes during German week and in a shock twist, Jurgen missed out on star baker as Paul and Prue awarded it to Italian Giuseppe.
