Great British Bake Off's Peter leaves viewers outraged with cheesecake confession

A Great British Bake Off contestant felt the wrath of viewers at home on Tuesday when he made a shocking contestant about cheese.

Bake Off judges Paul Hollywood and Pru Leith threw down the gauntlet to the remaining bakers this week with three tricky challenges the first of which was a Signature task to create a miniature version of a classic cheesecake.

And it was in the first challenge that contestant Peter dropped a bombshell that sparked outrage on social media.

Explaining his lime and ginger cheesecake, the 20-year-old revealed: "You can't trust a cheesecake, I have an aversion to cheese in general."

Yes, he basically came out and admitted he didn't like cheese and his confession was far too much for plenty of Bake Off fans to take!

Taking to Twitter, one viewer reacted: "Peter on The Great British Bake Off just broke my heart, he doesn't like cheese!" and, echoing those sentiments, another tweeted: "Peter not liking cheese has cemented him being my least favourite contestant on bake off"

The unimpressed tweets kept coming, with another GBBO viewer fuming: "Peter doesn’t like cheese. He’s dead to us now," and a fourth reacting: "I knew I couldn't trust Peter, he has an aversion to cheese ???"

However, Peter's aversion to cheese did win him some admiration from a few people tuning into Channel 4 on Tuesday night.

Taking the same stance on cheese, one viewer tweeted: "catching up on bake off and i have so much more love and respect for peter now i know he doesn't like cheese."

And reacting to the backlash to Pete's confession, another tweeted: "get a grip ppl there's many ppl who don't like stuff.i don't like baked cheesecake or cream cheese but in a cheesecake its ok."
