Reigning Great British Bake Off champion Peter Sawkins found himself at the centre of some technical issues as the show won a National Television Award on Thursday evening.
As has been the trend in years gone by, the now Channel 4 show won the Best Challenge Show prize at the annual event, as viewers lapped up the latest series, which was made when tough restrictions were still in force last year.
Peter became Bake Off' s youngest ever winner last year and it was the youthful star baker who was given the job of accepting the award as he was joined by some of his fellow contestants on stage at London's O2 Arena for the NTAs.

But, after he gave some thanks to viewers and the crew for making the show happen in difficult times, what should have been a seamless handover to judges Paul Hollywood and Pru Leith and hosts Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding in the Bake Off tent, didn't go to plan.
In front of a packed audience, he said: "I think we're now going to pass over to the big four who should be in the tent to say something," but then nothing happened as he was left awkwardly clutching the trophy and looking up at the screen willing them to appear.
As there was an even awkward pause, NTAs host Joel Dommett stepped into say: "We're going to go live to the Bake Off tent now...go!"
To Peter and Joe's relief, Pru, Paul. Matt and Noel did eventually appear as they too thanked viewers for their continued support and teased what was to come in the new serie s, which will get going later this month."
Reacting to Peter, one viewer at home tweeted: "Didn’t think I could love Peter from bake off more and then he showed up to the NTAs in a kilt."
In agreement, a second posted: "Yes! Peter wearing his kilt on the #NTAs. Happy for #GBBO , although I voted for the Great British Sewing Bee - IMO both wonderful, creative programmes!"
