Great British Bake Off host Sandi Toksvig to appear at Edinburgh International Book Festival event

Great British Bake Off host Sandi Toksvig will appear at an Edinburgh International Book Festival event later this year.

The comedian, TV host and broadcaster will launch her new memoir Between the Stops at the Assembly Rooms on George Street on Sunday, 3 November.

Through the memoir Toksvig takes a look at life from a different perspective – the top deck of a number 12 bus in London – and inspires us all to pay more attention to the world on our doorstep.

The Edinburgh event will see the QI host in conversation with journalist Ruth Wishart.

And it will explore memories of Toksvig navigating the Zambezi River in her father's canoe, meetings with high-profile figures and life in Footlights with Emma Thompson.

The event costs £15, or £12 concessions, and a pre-signed copy of Between the Stops can be ordered for £20. A limited number of books will also be available to buy on the night.
