Great British Bake Off final to miss one key ingredient as stars leave the famous tent

The Great British Bake Off is set to ditch one key ingredient from the final – the iconic tent.

Tuesday night saw Ruby Bhogal, Rahul Mandal and Kim-Joy make it through the next week’s grand final, whipping up a storm in the hope to be crowned victorious.

But, according to the episode billing, the final will provide the bakers with a never-done-before twist as they head outside the famous white marquee.

The official description reads: "In the judges' last Signature challenge, the bakers tackle doughnuts and the tricky task of immaculate decoration.

Bake Off first: The bakers will test their skills outside the marquee for the first time in eight years (PA)

"There's a deceptively simple Technical, save for one key feature: it's not baked in the tent!"

The task will be the first time the contestants have worked outside of the tent, erected in the beautiful gardens of Berkshire’s Welford Park.

The network have also confirmed that friends and family will be on site to rally round their loved ones, hoping to see them lift the trophy.

Meanwhile, fans have accused finalist Rahul of “cheating” after he carried on decorating his cake after Sandi Toksvig announced time was up .

Viewers swarmed social media after noticing Rahul was still fussing with his Showstopper bake before the show cut to an advert.

The Great British Bake Off final airs Tuesday October 30 at 8pm on Channel 4.
