Great British Bake Off: Fans believe Bristol's Giuseppe will be 2021 winner

Giuseppe Dell’Anno has dazzled fans and judges during this evening's Great British Bake Off - and viewers are now convinced he's going to win this year's show.

The Emersons Green engineer baked up a storm in tonight's biscuit extraordinaire.

From his brandy snaps to shortbread creation, the main judges had nothing but praise for our local lad - and even said he was up there as 'star baker'.

As viewers tuned into Tuesday's episode of the Channel 4 show, they were quick to take to social media to say they would place their money on Giuseppe winning.

One person wrote: "My dream Bake Off final would be Jürgen, Giuseppe and Chigs for the banter."

Another said: "Giuseppe or Jurgen have this year locked down between them IMO."

"Giuseppe is adorably passionate about his baking," said another fan.

But sadly for Jairzeno, he became the second person to leave the tent as his nautical showstopper left him "shipwrecked" with broken masts and a shoddy paint job.

The laid-back finance manager found himself running out of time with his "messy" brandy snaps in the first challenge.

Trying the fruity, chocolatey concoction, judge Prue Leith said the flavours were “too strong”, adding: “I couldn't eat a whole one.”

Fellow judge Paul Hollywood agreed, saying they were "not well executed".
