Firefighters are currently battling a blaze on land near to Uphall Industrial Estate.
Two appliances from Livingston and Broxburn are currently at the scene as thick smoke fills the sky.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service say that they are responding to grass on fire having been called to the scene at 5.44pm.
Eyewitnesses describe seeing plenty of fire personnel working to control the flames, with crews doing a "sterling job".
Wildfire warnings were issued for large parts of the country yesterday (Monday) and are expected to remain in place until Friday.
This is due to warm and dry conditions leading to increased risk of fires breaking out.
