'Graphic, disgusting' scenes as savages mistreat horse before dumping dead body near premises on Dublin road

These are the disgusting and graphic scenes which shows the body of a horse dumped on the side of a north Dublin road.

The shocking photos were snapped by DSPCA who rushed to the scene of Ashbourne Road after savages mistreated the animal before leaving its corpse for every Finglas local to see.

Inspectors for the organisation received the call in the hours of Monday morning and slammed the discovery as a "disgusting way to treat any animal".

DSPCA believe that the horse had been dumped "like rubbish" near a Finglas premises but was more than likely dead before it was placed there.

They are currently trying to trace the owner and are asking anyone with information to come forward as the horse is not microchipped.

They said: "We are looking for information that may help us to trace the owner.

"Or if anyone saw a horse box in the area either late on Sunday night or early on Monday morning.

"The body of the horse has been taken away. Anyone with information can you please email inspectors@dspca.ie

"This is an on-going investigation and we are hopeful that someone saw something that will help us to identify whoever did this."

Last week, a poor puppy was cruelly fired into a bag by a heartless lowlife after she had received what medical experts described as "blunt trauma" to her little head.

The rubbish was thrown out on the side of the road before mercilessly being blown apart by the wind around Kilmartin Lane just off the Kilbride/Mulhuddart road.

They discovered that the puppy was only a six-week-old female who had received blunt trauma to her little head.
