More than 1,000 new jobs are to be created by business solutions firm Grant Thornton, it has announced.
The company is already recruiting to fill 170 positions to double its tax team and will soon advertise for 830 new roles across its network.
The 1,000 new jobs for graduates and experienced workers will be spread across seven offices in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Longford, Kildare and Belfast over the next three years.
It is expected that the company, which employs 1,550 people in Ireland, will eventually create more than the announced 1,000 new jobs by 2024.
The new positions, ranging from “associate to director, and beyond”, include roles in audit, financial services, corporate finance, cyber, human resources, insurance, and marketing.
Grant Thornton Ireland’s managing partner Michael McAteer said: “We know the importance of flexibility, opportunity and promotion, and work-life balance.
“We have installed an extensive Future of Work framework across the firm with these pillars at the core.”
The company said it is growing its headcount in line with its clients’ needs.
The new employees will work with “clients from all industries and all sizes” including domestic companies and global multinationals, requiring international travel.
A spokesperson said: “Recruitment for the roles has already gotten underway, with Grant Thornton Ireland last month announcing plans to double the size of its tax team from 170 to 340 by 2024.
“At the same time, it is launching its brand new Changemaker campaign.
“This offers new third-level graduates the opportunity to earn hands-on experience in one of several busy business units within the firm.”
He added: Grant Thornton Ireland has over 1,550 people in seven offices across Ireland and a presence in over 143 countries around the world.
“It is committed to supporting the changing needs of its Irish and international clients, while offering flexibility and career growth to employees across its operation.”
