Granit Xhaka has posted on Instagram to say there are "no problems" between the Swiss midfielder and Kieran Tierney's ahead of Arsenal's Europa League match against Molde on Thursday.
The Gunners produced a stalemate against Leeds on Sunday afternoon and were down to ten men as early as the second half after Nicolas Pepe was shown a red card for headbutting Ezgjan Alioski.
At full-time Xhaka could be seen talking with his friend Alioski and it was Tierney who went over to confront the Leeds player about exaggerating contact from Pepe to get him sent off.
Xhaka pushed Tierney away in a bid to ensure the incident didn't escalate and subsequent comments from Arsenal legend Martin Keown hinted that Tierney could have been angry that his team-mate was 'fraternising with the enemy'.
"Tierney might have felt incensed to see Granit Xhaka with his arm around Alioski at the end of the game after what had happened," Keown wrote in his Daily Mail column.
"I would have certainly felt like that if I’d seen one of my team-mates practically fraternising with the enemy. "
"Xhaka then pushed Tierney away from the situation when he tried to confront Alioski.
"But the dust will settle from that incident. Tierney is just the type of personality Arsenal need in their team."
However, no such conflict took place and Xhaka posted a photo of the duo sitting next to eachother on the plane to Norway on Tuesday afternoon with the caption "no problems here!".
Meanwhile, Arsenal youngsters Folarin Balogun, Emile Smith Rowe and Miguel Azeez have all made the trip to Norway for Thursday's game, and will be hoping to feature as manager Mikel Arteta looks set to make wholesale changes from the draw at Elland Road.
