Granit Xhaka has urged all of his Arsenal teammates to step up as leaders for the side next term.
The Swiss international is among the frontrunners to replace Laurent Koscielny as captain with the defender hoping to secure a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Xhaka has experience as skipper after leading his country and stepping in as captain of the Gunners, and speaking to the press in Los Angeles, Xhaka says he'd be happy to take on the responsibility if asked.
He said: "It’s not my first time.
"If the club and the coach give me the armband I will be happy of course.
“We all have to work together on the pitch and take leadership from all the players.

“This is not something you can change in one day. In my opinion we’re on a good way to create something special in the team.”
Of course the appointment of a new captain is very much dependent on the situation surround the current skipper.
Laurent Koscielny caused controversy by refusing to partake in Arsenal 's pre-season tour of the USA, leading to speculation surrounding his long-term future at the club.
The defender is keen on a return to France and has asked for a transfer away from Arsenal amid Bordeaux's interest in the 33-year-old.
Arsenal, however, have rejected that request, a decision which led to Koscielny refusing to travel to the US.
It remains to be seen whether that situation can be resolved, but if the Frenchman does move on then it seems that Granit Xhaka could be a solid choice.
