Granit Xhaka delivers three word message to Arsenal teammates ahead of Wolves clash

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has publicly shared his support for his Gunners teammates during their match with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

Following Xhaka’s decision to swear at the Arsenal supporters and throw his shirt to the ground after being substituted in last Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, an incident which was caused by the Swiss international reaching the end of his tether after a lengthy period of abuse, he was left out of the squad for today’s game by manager Unai Emery.

Throughout the week, unsurprisingly, Xhaka’s actions have been a hot topic for discussion, with plenty of questions being asked about his future with the Londoners.

Members of the media, supporters and former players have called for the Swiss captain to be stripped of the club captaincy, with others suggesting his day at the club are numbered.

Xhaka was left out of Arsenal's 5-5 Carabao Cup draw with Liverpool in midweek as Arsenal crashed out on penalties before missing Saturday's clash with Wolves.

But whilst he has been omitted from today’s match-day squad, the club captain has offered his support to his teammates on his Instagram page.

On his Instagram story, Xhaka has posted a video of him watching the game on TV, with the caption, ‘Come on boys.’

For now, it remains unclear what the future holds for the 27-year-old and how soon it will be before he is reinstated to the team.
