He was part of the TV show that taught 70s kids that throwing benches into the school swimming pool was a really good idea and told 80s kids to 'Just Say No'.
The show ran for an incredible 30 years before it eventually stopped in 2008.

Samuel "Zammo" McGuire
Real name: Lee MacGuire
What are they doing now? He trained as a boxer, but a car crash left him unable to fight any more. He now runs a locksmith and key cutting shop in Wallington, Surrey.
Gary Hargreaves
Real name: Gary Hargreaves
The star, who was best known for playing Gary in the iconic children's show, passed away following a short battle with cancer in April 2016.
News of his death was announced on a Grange Hill Twitter account, which posted: "It is with great sadness we report that Mark Farmer aka Gary Hargreaves died earlier today. RIP."
Mark played football-loving Gary for the first three seasons of the school-based children's show.
Benny Green
Real name: Terry Sue Patt
Grange Hill star Terry Sue-Patt's body 'so decomposed that police identified him from pictures on walls'
tragically passed away in October 2015.
His death was announced on his Facebook page and Grange Hill actor Erkan Mustafa, who played Roland has told us he is in shock at the news.
Terry Sue-Patt played Benny for four years from 1978 - 1982, and was the first pupil to be shown in the first episode of the BBC series.
Christopher "Stupot" Stewart

What are they doing now? He's dabbled in acting and had a starring role in that slightly annoying 'Kev, BEV' AA advert from 2009. He now works as a boxing MC!
Roland "Roly" Browning
Real name: Erkan Mustafa
What are they doing now? Does some interviews and presenting for a film website and according to his actor profile can do Dutch, Greek, Indian, Irish, Jamaican, Maltese, and Turkish accents.
Caroline "Calley" Donnington

What are they doing now? Starred in Michael Winner film Dirty Weekend. Now works in corporate events management for Virgin.
Robert "Robbie" Wright

What are they doing now? The actor starred in popular 90s show London's Burning. However, in 1997 he was trapped by a "Fake Sheik" sting which landed him behind bars. After being released from jail he worked as as a roofer, scaffolder and minicab driver.
In 2014 he had a part in a football comedy called What’s The Score? so things are looking up for him.
Peter "Tucker" Jenkins

What are they doing now? Panto, Dancing on Ice, The Bill, Masterchef, EastEnders. Pretty much the normal career for a former British kids TV star.
Suzanne Ross
Real name: Susan Tully
What are they doing now? Ross starred as Michelle Fowler in EastEnders, and famously had a baby with Dirty Den. She now works as a director on shows including Secret Diaries of a Call Girl, Larkrise to Candleford, and Getting On.
Julie Marchant
Real name: Lisa York
What are they doing now? Lisa told Grange Hill Gold that after the show she did a bit of acting before moving to Australia. She worked in the city after that, and as far as we know she's still doing that!
Terence "Tegs" Ratcliffe
Real name: Sean Maguire
What are they doing now? Maguire released an album in the 90s and starred in film Meet the Spartans which was voted Worst Film of 2008 by The Times.
His career took a turn around when he was cast as Robin Hood on US TV show Once Upon a Time.
Fay Lucas
Real name: Alison Bettles
What are they doing now? Alison qualified as a beauty therapist after her time on Grange Hill and set up a recruitment firm in 2005.
Her son Albert starred as the creepy gas mask child in that episode of Doctor Who that had us all hiding behind sofas.
Tracy Edwards

Real name: Amanda Mealing
What are they doing now? Mealing has had an illustrious soap career appearing as a series regular on Holby City for six years.
Her character Connie Beauchamp now appears on sister show Casualty. She was also in Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Her IMDB lists roles in Breathe and The Meeting, which are scheduled for release in 2016.
