The devastated grandparents of a schoolboy who died in a building site tragedy in Drumchapel have paid tribute to him.
Shea Ryan, 10, was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Thursday evening after suffering serious injuries at a works site near Glenkirk Drive.
Tragically, he died a short time later.
His name was confirmed yesterday by his grandparents Janis Meechan and William Brown, who were among those who left floral tributes to Shea at the scene following the news of his passing.
Ms Meechan told BBC News Scotland: ""We think our wee granddaughter was there when he fell.
"We've just came up to put these flowers down and then we'll get him a big grandson flower.
"He was a good boy. Wild, but good".
Shea's grandfather William spoke of his shock at hearing the news.
He said: "I thought I was hearing things".
Margaret Coyle, Shea's headteacher at the school he attended, Camstradden Primary School, also spoke of her devastation at learning of his death.
She said: "In the short period of time Shea's been with us at the school he has made many friends with school staff and the children.
"Everyone will be shocked to learn of his death and we will do all that we can to offer support to the family and wider community in Drumchapel."
Police Scotland have confirmed that enquiries are continuing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident, however the death is not being treated as suspicious.
