Grandmother, 47, breastfeeds her daughter's 10-month-old baby

A mum has revealed both she and her mother breastfeed her 10-month-old baby - and they have no time for strangers who label it "weird."

Nurse Julia Cannons, 21, said she and her mum Angela Owens, 47, take turns feeding baby Naomi.

Julia told the Sun that neither of them care about the judgement from strangers who call their feeding strategy "weird".

The nurse, from St Louis, Missouri, reportedly says it's allowed grandmother and granddaughter to develop a loving bond.

Julia told the newspaper that while she loved breastfeeding Naomi, she "wanted to be on the boob 24/7."

Jessica Simpson sparks huge fallout - by calling her bottle of breastmilk 'success'

The Sun reported that Angela was still lactating following the birth of her fifth and youngest child when Naomi was born.

One day, Julia felt she needed to get out of the house and headed over to her mother's place so she could shower.

Naomi needed a feed and started "squalling" while Julia was in the shower, so Angela stepped in to do the breastfeeding duties.

Julia told the Sun her mum had already asked her about how she felt about her breastfeeding Naomi - seeing as she was still producing milk too.

Hilarious hospital rules for new mums in the 1960s - and they were very strict

"I was OK with it," Julia said.

She said the mum and daughter have been feeding little Naomi ever since - with Angela sharing the job a couple times a month.

But their approach has reportedly earned them some rough criticism from strangers.

Teacher accused of calling Asian pupil 'Stan' because he couldn't say his name

“People say it’s weird, unnatural and gross,” Julia told the Sun.

“But what is more natural than feeding a baby?"

“It’s how we all started out. Wet-nursing has been around since the beginning of time.”
