Grandma shocks family with hilarious remark as they celebrate her 94th birthday

When we're kids, birthdays are exciting. What presents will we get? What plans have been made? What flavour will the cake be?

But as we get older, we start to dread the very thought of them more and more each year.

And after 94 years of celebrating it seems that one grandma had had enough.

Pauline Kay posted a video to TikTok singing Happy Birthday to her grandma but wasn't prepared for what she was about to say next.

In the clip you can see Pauline singing enthusiastically, alongside the rest of her family whilst her grandma sat looking rather straight-faced.

It was only when the singing had stopped, that she began to speak.

Pauline couldn't believe what her grandma said (TikTok)

She said: "Well thank you very much, I hope this is my last".

It took a second or two for her granddaughter Pauline to realise what her grandma had said, as you hear another voice in the background offer to cut the cake.

The video received over 12 million views, 2.7 million likes and 26 thousand comments.

One person said: "Grandma is tired of everyone's bs".

Another said: "grandma heard this song 94 times and she's over it".

A third then said: "the delayed reaction in the back I haven't laughed that hard in a minute".

This comes after a "lonely" 81-year-old man went viral for posting the most adorable 'cooking' videos to TikTok.

Most famously known as ' Old Man Steve ', Stephen Austin shares simple recipes to his 635 thousand followers, and they can't get enough.
