The Grand Theft Auto (GTA) franchise is a popular open world game, where the player gets to experience life as a criminal.
The latest addition to the game series came out in 2013 and fans have been calling for a sequel ever since.
According to Mirror Online, rumours suggest the creators of the game have been developing Grand Theft Auto 6.
Take-Two Interactive, which owns GTA developer Rockstar Games, is holding a call with investors on February 6, during which it could share news about the game.
The company said: “Take-Two Interactive today announced that it plans to report financial results for the third quarter of its fiscal year 2020, ended December 31, 2019, after the market close on Thursday, February 6, 2020.”
It is unlikely that Take-Two will announce any concrete plans about the game, but they could announce new updates planned for the coming year.
In the past, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, aggressively avoided talking about GTA, reports The Daily Star.
When probed about when the game will launch, he said: "We're not going to announce it. We're not going to announce when we're going to announce it.
“And we're not going to announce the strategy about announcing it or about when we're going to announce it either, or about the announcement strategy surrounding the announcement of the strategy. Any other questions?”
Hopefully Mr Zelnick will be more open to discussions this this time around.
