Grand Parade Belfast attack leaves man in hospital with stab wounds

A man is in hospital with stab wounds after an assault in Belfast over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to Grand Parade, in the east of the city , following the incident on Friday night, June 28.

The victim, aged in his 20s, received stab wounds to his body and an injury to his face and remains in hospital at this time.

Detectives have charged a charged 30-year-old man to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court. 

The man has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in court tomorrow, Monday, July 1. 

As is normal procedure the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
