The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside the same palace grounds will reopen to the public on Nov 1, the Royal Household Bureau announced on Tuesday.

The bureau said on its website it was preparing to reopen both venues with improved public health safety measures in place. These will include the compulsory wearing of face masks, body temperature checks and registration on the Thai Chana website for contact tracing.

The Grand Palace and the temple have been closed due to the pandemic.

The reopening coincides with the government's move to welcome fully vaccinated visitors from low-risk countries without quarantine from the same date.
