Grand National 2022 vintage trend spotted at Aintree on the final day

The Grand National 2022 is well and truly underway with racegoers celebrating being allowed to visit the Aintree festival for the first time since 2019.

Each year, ladies spend huge amounts of time planning their jaw-dropping outfits for the big day, with trends changing year on year. The last few days have seen some very impressive outfits, and people seem to have made as much effort today.

While the weather got off to a bad start with rain and hail, it soon turned around and brightened up. Still, no matter the weather, Aintree racegoers were ready for a big day.

Today many racegoers opted for glamorous dresses and jumpsuits, in bright block colours such as red, blue and white. Already this year, Aintree racegoers have started new trends such as flamboyant headwear , neon outfits and fedora-style hats .

For Grand National Day, the ladies at Aintree seem to have decided to bring a vintage vibe to the races today. Many of the women came dressed in corset dresses that feature a boned bodice - or a design that gives the illusion of it - leading into a midi skirt.

Fashion has always been a focal point of the Grand National Festival as it features the Style Awards, which name one lucky racegoer as the best dressed attendee. This year, Donna Mulligan was crowned the winner of the Grand National Ladies Day 2022 Style Award at Aintree racecourse on Friday.
