Thousands of people arrived at Aintree racecourse today for Ladies Day at the Grand National Festival.
As ever, there were some stunning outfits at the races on Friday, and many couples were fashionably dressed from head to toe. From brightly coloured dresses to smart suits, they certainly dressed to impress as they made their way around the racecourse and soaked up the atmosphere.

Sarah from Liverpool and Marlon, from Doncaster were at the races together. Sarah said: “it’s about 30 years since I’ve been to the races. I’m celebrating my 50th this year so this is one of the celebrations!”
Alan Shipman, 34 was with Bridie Bukorovic, 29, from Southport. Bridie said: “I’m wearing a Jonathan Simkhai dress with a hat from Jane Taylor. I’m excited to watch the races and win; it’s our first races all together.” Alan added: “I’m looking forward to betting.”
Keith and Vicky Ford attended together. Vicky said: “We’ve been coming for 30 years. I love the mixing and socialising.”
Michelle and Dave Mutch were also at the races. Michelle told us she was “Looking forward to winning lots of money and drinking lots of champagne.”
