The Grand National will go ahead today, despite the death of the Queen's husband Prince Philip on Friday.
The race will be different this year, as a result of coronavirus restrictions, which don't allow crowds to gather at the Aintree course in Merseyside.
Despite this, the National is one of the biggest betting events of the racing calendar.
It didn't run in 2020 due to the pandemic and was replaced by a computerised simulation, won by Potters Corner, which was still broadcast on television.
Around 40 horses will attempt to clear the 30 fences over the four-and-a-half mile long course which is made up of two circuits of the two-and-a-quarter mile track.
The Grand National Festival itself began on Thursday and runs until Saturday, culminating with the Grand National Race at 5.15pm on Saturday.
Cloth Cap is the new favourite for the Grand National 2021, according to GrandNational.org.uk.
He has won his last two races, including the prestigious Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury, and is trained by Jonjo O’Neill who won the race in 2010 with Don’t Push It.
Other favourites are Burrows Saint, Kimberlite Candy, Any Second Now, and Minella Times with odds around 10/1.
There was speculation following the death of Prince Philip that the race could be postponed.
However a statement was issued on Friday afternoon confirming the race would still go ahead as planned.

The statement read: “Jockey Club Racecourses has held discussions with the British Horseracing Authority regarding the staging of Randox Grand National Day tomorrow at Aintree Racecourse.
“Following consultation with Government, we can confirm that Randox Grand National Day will go ahead on Saturday 10th April 2021.
“Following the sad news of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh a two-minute silence will be held on course ahead of the 173rd Randox Grand National, jockeys will be invited to wear black armbands and flags will be flown at half-mast at the racecourse.
“ITV will broadcast its coverage of Randox Grand National Day on its main channel as scheduled.”
ITV and ITV4 will be covering the racing.
