The three British tourists killed when their helicopter crashed into jagged rocks in the Grand Canyon have been named.
US media listed the victims as Becky Dobson, 27, Jason Hill, 32, and Stuart Hill, 30.
Three other Britons onboard the chopper survived the accident with injuries and were named by 12News as Ellie Milward, 29, Jonathan Udall, 32, and Jennifer Barham, 39.
The Foreign Office has confirmed the deaths and said it is supporting the families of the six people involved in the accident, which took place on Saturday at the famous national park in Arizona.
“We are in close contact with the US emergency services,” a spokeswoman said.
The victims were on riding in a Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters chopper when it crashed into sharp rocks by the Canyon's West Rim, according to the AP.
Fading light and strong winds initially made it difficult for rescue workers to reach the remote crash site.
The three survivors were duly pulled from the wreckage and flown to a hospital in Las Vegas in neighbouring Nevada, where they are currently recuperating.
