A Kilwinning gran has been appointed by Santa to help send kids' letters to his workshop this month.
Janine-Karen Morland has put a magical postbox outside her Ladyford Avenue home for children to send their letters to Santa and the big man himself will reply with a personal letter hand delivered by Janine-Karen.
The gran of seven said: "My daughter announced I would be setting up the magical postbox outside my house for kids in the area on her Facebook page and the community has really responded to it. The post has over 400 shares so far.
"I've had some lovely feedback from people and it's so nice to have the feeling of community spirit, especially at Christmas. One person has even donated a book of stamps to help.
"I absolutely love Christmas and I thought it would be a great idea to have children receive a personal letter from Santa Claus this year.
"The past couple of years have been hard for everyone, Covid isolated a lot of families at Christmas and now the cost of living crisis is making things even more difficult than usual, so I thought this would help bring a bit of festive cheer to the town."
Janine-Karen told Ayrshire Live how she'll get the letters to Santa.
She explained: "I'll forward all of the letters on to Santa who will write everyone back and I've been told he'll even include an authentic 'Nice List' certificate to all of the boys and girls.
"Because he's very busy this time of year, I'll hand deliver all of the letters back to the kids so please remember to pop your address in the envelope!"
