Grammys winners allegedly leaked, but Recording Academy says it's fake

Call it a Grammy whammy.

A list of the alleged winners at next month's Grammy Awards recently surfaced on social media, but The Recording Academy _ the governing body of the annual music award show _ slammed the leak as a sham.

"There is no legitimacy to this," a rep for the organization said in a statement to E! News.

"GRAMMY Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by Deloitte in sealed envelopes."

The alleged leak claimed in part that "Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper from "A Star Is Born" had won song of the year, Cardi B's "I Like It" was record of the year and that the self-titled "H.E.R." was album of the year.

Nominations for this year's show, which takes place on Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, were unveiled last month.

Kendrick Lamar leads all artists this year with eight nominations, followed by Drake with seven.
