When you become a global icon as an NBA player, rappers immediately take notice. There’s always been a synergy between hip-hop and hoops, and you can see the mutual love and respect these guys have for each other when their paths cross. The old adage goes, every rapper wanted to be a baller, and every baller wanted to be a rapper.
The ties between the two worlds are obvious when you consider Fabolous run of wearing throwback jerseys or Jada Kiss collabing with Allen Iverson on the most iconic Reebok commercials of all time. Guys like Shaquille O’Neal and Damian Lillard have put out full albums while guys like Master P and Sheck Wes have had real NBA dreams.
For Steph Curry, though, you won’t find him jumping on any tracks (at least we hope not), but he’ll be name-dropped as a 2-time MVP and 3-time NBA champion. In honor of The Grammy’s, here are the five best Steph Curry quotables in hip-hop.
Drake – 0 to 100 / The Catch Up

In one of the biggest bangers in Drake’s career, he drops what is easily the most quoted Steph Curry line in all of hip-hop. If nothing else, 0 to 100 is both a metaphor for how the Warriors franchise turned around after drafting Curry and how quickly Steph can get hot.
I been Steph Curry with the shot
Been cookin’ with the sauce
Chef Curry with the pot, boy
360 with the wrist, boy
Fat Joe ft. Remy Ma – All The Way Up

After Lean Back, Fat Joe didn’t really have a huge hit until he and Remy Ma came together for All The Way Up. With the Warriors down 3-2 to the Rockets in last year’s playoffs, Steph Curry turned his game all the way up, averaging 28 points, seven rebounds and eight assists over the two elimination games to send the Warriors to the Finals.
I just dropped the biggest of checks and the sh*t cleared
When everybody counted us out this year
Uh, I’m Steph Curry in the clutch
Take a shot of this royal elite and go all the way up
Gucci Mane – Made It Out

It’s almost disappointing that there aren’t more plays on Steph Curry’s Under Armour signature shoe. There’s a lot of potentials there since Curry is pretty much the only NBA athlete holding the brand up. Nike and Adidas have deep rosters, but Steph continues to do numbers in shoe sales without the Check or the Stripes.
I was trafficking and passing
Bricks like I’m LeBron n—-
Steph Curry pound of kush
Under my Under Armour N—-
Big Sean – Light
“Light” is one of Big Sean’s biggest hits and he’s put out quite a few bangers since joining GOOD Music in 2007. 10 years later, Big Sean released the I Decided album and hit No. 1 on the charts while Curry and the Warriors were No. 1 on the hardwood. It makes sense that Detriot’s finest would name drop Curry.
Got the whole city inspired
Boy, this the flow that got Steph Curry inspired
The Game – Made In America

No one name drops on their songs more than The Game. For him, most of the time he’s calling out other LA rappers who inspired him to get into the rap game, but every once in a while he moves beyond Compton and gives love to some of the biggest names in sports, too. On Made In America, he delivers a Steph Curry line that can take us back to one of dozens of moments in which Curry inspired awe when it mattered the most.
Then I had a dream
I had bricks like transporter
Change my life like
Steph Curry in the 4th quarter
