Grammy Awards see pro-Trump supporters make political fashion statements on the red carpet

The 2020 Grammys red carpet saw stars including Ariana Grande , Demi Lovato and Lizzo turn out in their sharpest looks for a night of awards and performances, but it also became a platform for political statements.

Singer-songwriter Joy Villa, who wore a 'Build The Wall' dress in 2019, turned out this year in a 'Trump 2020' column dress. When she turned her back to the cameras the words 'Impeached and re-elected' were written down the back of her dress.

She also carried a bag with the Republican logo picked out in rhinestones.

"He’s going to be the first president in history to be impeached and re-elected” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Villa is a vocal Trump supporter whose album Home Sweet Home features a song called 'Make America Great Again.'

Meanwhile, singer and Trump fan Ricky Rebel wore a pair of cut-out trousers with 'IMPEACH THIS' written across his behind.

Rebel previously wore an outfit with the slogan 'Keep America Great' again to the Grammy Awards in 2019.

Other wardrobe statements made were anti-Trump.

Iranian actress Megan Pormer wore a sequinned red dress that spelled 'No War Iran' across the middle.
