Grammy Awards 2023 nominations in full: Beyoncé makes history as she takes on Adele

The nominations for the Grammy Awards 2023 are in, with Beyonce becoming the first female artist in history to score 80 Grammy nominations.

She'll be battling it out with the likes of Adele to take home an iconic Grammy Awards trophy.

Now in its 65th year, the annual award ceremony recognises the best music released between the eligibility period - October 1 2021 to September 30 2022.

Voting took place last month, with Taylor Swift and Harry Styles also in the running to take home an award.

Five new categories have been introduced this year, meaning winners could be awarded Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical), Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Americana Performance, Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games And Other Interactive Media, or Best Spoken Word Poetry Album.

There is also a special award for the Best Song for Social Change.

Nominees for Album of the Year are ABBA's Voyage, Adele's 3, Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti, Beyonce's Renaissance, Mary J. Blige's Good Morning Gorgeous (Deluxe), Brandi Carlile's In These Silent Days, Coldplay's Music of the Spheres, Kendrick Lamar's Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Lizzo's Special and Harry Styles' Harry’s House.

The nominations for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance are Don't Shut Me Down by Abba, Bam Bam by Camila Cabello featuring Ed Sheeran, My Universe by Coldplay and BTS, I Like You (A Happier Song) by Post Malone and Doja Cat and Unholy by Sam Smith and Kim Petras.

Best Rock Performance nominees are Bryan Adams with So Happy It Hurts, Beck for Old Man, The Black Keys with Wild Child, Brandi Carlile for Broken Horses, IDLES for Crawl!, Ozzy Osbourne feat. Jeff Beck with Patient Number 9 and Turnstile with Holiday.

The Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album are Higher by Michael Bublé, When Christmas Comes Around by Kelly Clarkson, I Dream of Christmas (Extended) by Norah Jones, Evergreen by Pentatonix, Thank You by Diana Ross.

The nominations for Best Dance/Electronic Album are Renaissance by Beyonce, Fragments by Bonobo, Diplo by Diplo, The Last Goodbye by Odesza and Surrender by RÜFÜS DU SOL.

Anitta, Omar Apollo, Domi & JD Beck, Muni Long, Samara Joy, Latto, Måneskin, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle and Wet Leg are all in the running to win Best New Artist.

Best Gospel Performance/Song nominees are Positive by Erica Campbell, When I Pray by DOE, Kingdom by Maverick City Music & Kirk Franklin, The Better Benediction by PJ Morton Featuring Zacardi Cortez, Gene Moore, Samoht, Tim Rogers & Darrel Walls and Get Up by Tye Tribbett.

The Best R&B Song nominations are CUFF IT by Beyonce, Good Morning Gorgeous" by Mary J. Blige, Hrs & Hrs by Muni Long, Hurt Me So Good by Jazmine Sullivan and Please Don't Walk Away by PJ Morton.

Also up for a nomination in this category is Jazz Fest: A New Orleans Story by various artists.
