Graham & Sibbald hires ex-Army man from Lidl

Property specialist Graham & Sibbald has announced the hire of Sean Donnelly from Lidl’s UK operation as a senior project manager.

The former British Army engineer, who previously worked for construction giant Amey, has a degree in Construction Management from Caledonian University and is in the second year of a LLM Construction Law Masters degree at the University of Strathclyde.

He will oversee the client-side delivery of commercial retail new build and refurbishment projects from initial concept design through to tender, construction phase and completion.

Donnelly said: “I am keen to use my experience to benefit the clients of Graham & Sibbald and enhance the team’s offering as demand increases for project management services in Scotland and across the UK.”

Graham + Sibbald has more than 200 employees and 20 partners working across its 16 offices in Scotland and England.

Partner Neil MacFarlane said: “With current private industrial and commercial orders for construction experiencing a marked swing from negative to positive positions and construction output growth being forecast at 3% for 2020,   our team is experiencing significant levels of new construction projects across our client base from private developers and multinationals to local authorities and public sector bodies across the UK.”
