Brighton head coach Graham Potter has claimed the sale of Neal Maupay to Everton represents a suitable deal 'for all parties' following the exit of the French forward.
The Blues last night announced the acquisition of Maupay on a three-year deal, though he will not be eligible to face former side Bretford this weekend. Danny Welbeck has been Brighton's go-to forward so far this season, leading the line in each of their first three league fixtures, with Maupay missing out on minutes.
Brighton also signed German striker Denis Undav from Union Saint-Gilloise in January, who was loaned back to the Belgian side for the second half of last season but is now at the Amex Stadium and represented another individual offering Everton's new recruit increase competition for places.

Maupay had been a regular starter for Brighton in each of the last three seasons, missing only a combined tally of 12 league games during this period. But Potter has conceded the time was right for the 26-year-old to move on, despite remaining coy on the subject earlier yesterday afternoon when challenged on the subject.
“Neal is keen to play more regular football than we have been able to offer, and Everton are able to give him that opportunity. We could fully understand his position, and the deal represents a good one for all parties involved," he told Brighton's official club website.
"We appreciate this is an excellent opportunity for Neal and his family, and on behalf of everyone here I would like to thank him for his efforts for the club and wish him all the very best for the future."
