Graham Potter has stated that he is "really happy" at Brighton & Hove Albion amid links with the Tottenham job.
Spurs are currently on the lookout for a new manager after Jose Mourinho was dismissed from his position just over two weeks ago, and Potter is one of the favourites with the bookies for the job.
Appointed in place of Chris Hughton at the Amex Stadium two years ago after impressing in his year at Swansea City, the former left-back has come in for plenty of praise for his style of football on the south coast.
With Tottenham ideally wanting to appoint a manager who is progressive, attack-minded, favours possession-based football and fits in to the club's culture, many believe he would be a perfect fit as they look to find Mourinho's long-term successor.
football.london understands a number of Spurs players would back a move for Potter if they do decide to go for him as the Seagulls manager's style of play is believed to have left a lasting impression on some of them.
Amid speculation over the Tottenham job, Brighton chief executive Paul Barber confirmed on Thursday in an interview with The Argus that his club had not received an approach for Potter, nor would they let him go if someone did eventually make a move for him.
Asked about the rumours when speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Brighton's game away at Wolves, Potter said: “I think that’s the challenge of being a football coach, certainly in the modern day, there is speculation, positive and negative.
“It was only a few months ago I was answering questions whether I had the support of the chairman, so you’ve got to take these things with a pinch of salt.
“My focus is on here. I am doing as well as I can, I feel I have the support of the board, the players, the staff, we’re in a really exciting moment in terms of we’ve done a lot of work and we want to carry that on.
“We haven’t finished anything here, there’s a lot to do and I am really happy here.
“It’s nice to hear Paul [Barber] say that, he doesn’t have to, but it’s nice.”
