Graham Potter has issued a direct message to Swansea City fans, where he has apologised for leaving the club prematurely to head for Brighton.
Potter was officially unveiled as the Seagulls' new manager on Monday after he opted to leave the south Wales club after a single season.
Now, Potter has issued a direct message to Swans fans following his departure, where he acknowledges that some supporters will not forgive him for leaving.
"I have a very strong feeling for the club, staff and fans", Potter said. "It was a very tough decision because my family were settled and happy in Swansea.
"I’m sorry to them for cutting short my time at the club. I understand some fans will be upset that I left and won’t forgive me for that."
The statement has been issued by Swansea, who say Potter wanted to deliver the message to fans who had backed him during his single season at the helm.
