Brighton and Hove Albion head coach Graham Potter has once again played down speculation linking him with the Tottenham Hotspur job this summer.
As revealed by football.london last month, the former Swansea City boss is one of several targets under consideration by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy ahead of the start of next season.
In fact, Potter does appear to tick all the boxes Levy wants in the next Tottenham manager as his search to appoint Jose Mourinho's successor rumbles on.
"We shall focus on the recruitment of a new Head Coach," Levy said in a statement earlier in the week.
"We are acutely aware of the need to select someone whose values reflect those of our great Club and return to playing football with the style for which we are known – free-flowing, attacking and entertaining – whilst continuing to embrace our desire to see young players flourish from our Academy alongside experienced talent."
However, Potter has insisted he has not been distracted by talk about his future and revealed he is "excited" about his Brighton side.
"I don’t pay too much attention to things that are out of my control, things that get written or speculation, there’s nothing I can do about it," Potter said, as per Sussex Live.
"I am focused on this job, trying to finish off this season as well as we can.
"I am excited by the team, excited by the club, excited by the group. I just focus on that."
Potter's stance could mean Spurs will need to look elsewhere in their search for a new manager.
One name who won't be heading to north London any time soon is Nuno Espirito Santo who will step down as Wolves boss at the end of the season.
As a result, the Portuguese has emerged as the favourite to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.
That is according to bookmakers Bet Victor who have the Portuguese tactician at 1/2 to fill the void left by compatriot Mourinho who was sacked after just 17 months in charge of the north London outfit.
Although, football.london previously reported that he was not in contention and understand that remains the case as Daniel Levy continues his search.
