Graham Norton's replacement revealed as he's forced to miss first show in 20 years

Graham Norton is set to miss his first ever Graham Norton Show in 20 years, forcing the BBC to draft in a replacement to man the ship.

With Graham off to Tel Aviv to film the Eurovision Song Contest, his replacement has now been unveiled as BRITs sensation Jack Whitehall.

And despite his confidence, the comedian admitted he's terrified of stepping into such big shoes.

"The thought of stepping into his huge showbiz boots fills me in equal measure with fear and excitement," he said of his forthcoming May 17 slot.

It comes after Graham shared his disbelief that the show is still going strong after two decades.

“It’s hard to get my head around the fact I’ve hosted a chat show for 21 years. I never thought it would last this long," he told The Mirror.

And he believes the key to its longevity is its ability to set some of Hollywood's top stars at ease.

“Big stars like Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep keep coming back because they realise it’ll be fine and they might actually have fun," he said.

“It took us a long time, but the stars’ publicists now trust us and tell their clients to come on the show because we’ll just want them to tell some funny stories.”

But Graham does still have a wish list of dream guests - which includes Meghan and Harry.
