The Graham Norton Show on BBC2 last night featured showjumping ponies, Kim Cattrall talking about sleeping with the whole cast of Sex and the City and photos of a shaved Britney. The only thing that's changed since 1998 was the body part that Britney had shaved.
Is it a bad thing to return to a tried and tested formula?
Let us not forget that the original So Graham Norton on Channel 4 was actually really darn funny, even if the joke (and the formula) did wear a bit thin after five years. That was why the BBC nicked him after all, but it turns out the mistake was to try and do something clever and different.
None of us wanted something clever and different - we just wanted So Graham Norton again with even better suits and a few more wrinkles. (Sorry Graham.)
Total silence from the Last Night's TV brigade on this one today, so Norton have to wait until everyone gets bored of him again before he gets any substantial press. I guess it just depends how long that takes...
