Graham Norton gears up for Eurovision with multicoloured face mask backstage

Graham Norton has shared a back-stage selfie as he is rehearsing for the final of Eurovison 2021 tomorrow night.

The BAFTA award winning presenter, donned an official Eurovision branded multicoloured face-mask for the snap which he shared to his 524k followers.

In a cheeky nod to this year's host, he captioned the post: "This could be Rotterdam (or Anywhere)" #Eurovsion2021

To which one fan replied: "Liverpool or Rome", returning the lyrics of The Beautiful South's hit of the 90s.

A third replied: "King of comments."

Fans of the popular music contest are eagerly awaiting it's return tomorrow night after last year's event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While Norton will comment on the event live from Rotterdam, a UK panel comprising of Singer-songwriter Chelcee Grimes, TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal and Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills will bring all the latest for the audience from a live-feed from London.

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is to act as Eurovision spokesperson to deliver the results of the UK professional jury vote.

While some feel Eurovision is easy to laugh at, others take it far too seriously.

Norton previously told the BBC, "I fall somewhere in the middle. I love the camp spectacle and the fact that every year there is a handful of really extraordinary performances and beautiful songs."

He added: "But nobody can predict how it will go. "

And due to singer James Newman not being able to compete last year, he will also be back to perform his single 'Embers', as he goes up against other countries to try and secure the number 1 spot on the UK's behalf.

Newman won the award for British Single of the Year at the 2014 Brit Awards, and audiences are wondering will he have what it takes to be crowned this year’s winner?

But after a dismal ranking for the UK in previous years the BRIT Award-winning and Grammy-nominated songwriter will be looking to avoid the dreaded 'nul points'!

Eurovision will be broadcast on BBC One on Saturday at 8pm.
