Former Rangers player Graham Fyfe has passed away at the age 70.

The midfielder make 89 appearances for the Light Blues and was part of the 1972 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup-winning squad.

Fyfe scored a total of 31 goals for the Rangers during his time at the club between 1969 and 1976.

He made his first appearance in a league clash at Ibrox against Hearts of March 25 1969.

Fyfe started on the right wing in a 3-2 home win.

Most known for his years at Ibrox, the midfielder also enjoyed stints at Hibs and Dumbarton before moving to the US to play in the Major Indoor Soccer League

Rangers released a statement confirmed the sad news earlier today.

It read: "Everyone at Rangers is today deeply saddened to hear of the death of former player Graham Fyfe.

"The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Graham's family."
