Graham Dorrans wanted by Dundee as James McPake makes ambitious move for former Rangers midfielder

Dundee have made an ambitious move to land Graham Dorrans.

The Championship promotion chasers are trying to tempt the former Rangers midfielder to Dens Park.

Dark Blues boss James McPake knows Dorrans well from their time at Livingston and is hoping that can help him pull off this major coup.

Dundee’s American owners have already backed McPake this summer and they are hoping they will strengthen his squad further with this marquee signing.

The 32-year-old is a free agent after he terminated his Rangers contract last week.

Premiership side Kilmarnock remain interested but were unable to agree a deal for the experienced Scotland international.

There is also strong interest in Dorrans from England, where Bolton Wanderers remain keen, while there are also foreign options, including a possible switch to Australia.

Dorrans is keen to get his career back on track after injury wrecked his move to boyhood heroes Rangers.
